Environmental Mitigation Plans

In 2018, NYSERDA initiated competitive solicitation processes to select projects for offshore wind development in New York State. Finalized contracts include environmental mitigation plans (EMPs) developed in consultation with the E-TWG, as well as commitments from project developers to further refine these plans through E-TWG consultation. Finalized contracts with EMPs developed with E-TWG consultation include Sunrise Wind (2019, 2024), Empire Wind 1 (2019, 2024), Empire Wind 2 (2022), and Beacon Wind (2022).
