Environmental Mitigation Plans

In 2019, NYSERDA finalized contracts to purchase power from the Empire Wind project (Equinor Wind US LLC) and Sunrise Wind project (a joint venture of Ørsted A/S and Eversource Energy) as part of the New York Phase 1 offshore wind procurement. In 2020, NYSERDA finalized contracts to purchase power from the Empire 2 and Beacon Wind Projects (Joint venture between Equinor Wind US LLC and BP). The contracts include environmental mitigation plans as well as commitments from both developers to further refine these plans through consultation with the E-TWG. Updated versions of environmental mitigation plans will be posted as they become available.
